Intruder Alarm Specification Key

Final Exit Device (F/E) -

A final exit device is the last device activated before leaving and the first device activated when entering an alarmed area. This is usually a door contact. If any final exit device is triggered first during a break in, a confirmed activation cannot be achieved until the entry timer has expired (45seconds maximum)

Entry Route Device (ER) -

An entry route device is a device fitted within the entry area of the system. This device will be isolated during the entry time. If the final exit device has not been triggered to start the entry timer and an entry route device is triggered first the alarm will send a single activation as normal.

Immediate Intruder Device (Imm) -

An intruder device will be programmed to immediately trigger the alarm system when set. These devices will override the entry timer.

Passive Infared Detector (PIR) -

All passive infrared detectors we install are quad element. These detectors will give a higher degree of immunity to false alarms than standard PIR detectors. Our standard mounting height is 1.5m – 2.4m high. These detectors have an approximate coverage pattern with an unobstructed view of 15m x 90° Detectors comply to at least Grade 2, Environmental Grade 2

Dual Technology (DT) -

All Dual Technology (DT) detectors on this quotation are specified in areas where a higher immunity to false alarms is required either as a precaution or due to environmental issues (i.e. draftee environments, areas in direct sunlight and where large heat sources are present etc) and will be mounted between 1.8m – 2.4m high. These detectors have an approximate coverage pattern with an unobstructed view of 12m x 90° Detectors comply to at least Grade 2, Environmental Grade 2.

External Warning Device (ExtWD) -

Self-actuating Siren that will activate under its own battery if the signal is lost from the main control panel.
