There are two systems available for the automation of swing gates, above ground and underground systems.
Ram operators are normally installed centrally on the inside of your gate. These are an ideal retrofit to existing gates and are a more cost-effective solution.
By far the least obtrusive solution, the motors of these systems are installed below the ground. These systems require additional groundwork, but once complete are a very discreet method of automation. Underground motors have a superior robust design, giving the most reliable product for intensive use sites.
If you are restricted by space, a sliding gate is an excellent alternative to a swing system. Swing gates can often restrict the use of parking and turning spaces.
The robust design of a sliding gate system ensures the highest level of protection against forced entry, and protection in windy environments.

Models are available to withstand an impact from a light vehicle collision, up to that of a high-speed HGV.
Significantly increasing security, they are the perfect solution for protection against ram-raids and terrorism.
Often installed in pedestrianised areas, site entrances, in front of retail outlets and roller shutters.
What safety devices are available?
By remote control
Main control panel – (available with a 7-day timer for automatic gate control and an external aerial for extending remote control range).
Ram gate operator control.
Pillarsafety beam – protects against trapping when someone tries to come through the gate leaves whilst closing.
Wireless remote control.
Drivesafety beam – prevents gates from closing against your car or other obstacles.
Gatesafety edge – these protect areas where a trapping hazard exists, for example, between the gate hinge and gate, the pillar or behind the gate should it opens against a wall.
Keypad or intercom – allowing the gate to be opened via a code, remotely by you at the house or via a smartphone (depending on the product chosen).
Underground induction loop – this will signal the gate to open when you drive your car up to the gate.
Why should you have a maintenance agreement?
You should keep your systems maintained to ensure all the safety devices are operating correctly.
Cleaning and lubrication maybe required to minimise the wear and tear.
It may be a condition of your insurance.
In a commercial environment, it is a legal requirement.
You may be putting lives at risk if you do not have your system maintained.
